FORT RILEY, Kansas — IACH reminds our patients and visitors that after-hours access to the facility remains consolidated to the Emergency Department entrance. Since February 2025, the patient entrance has closed daily at 5 p.m. to ensure safety and efficiency with limited staffing.

Custer Hill Dental Clinic Officially Re-Opens

FORT RILEY, Kansas — The Custer Hill Dental Clinic officially reopened its doors to Soldiers Aug. 28 following an extensive two-year renovation that transformed the facility into a viable dental care center for the 1st Infantry Division.

The front desk team at Custer Hill Dental Clinic will soon be back in action, checking in patients, scheduling appointments, and keeping the clinic running smoothly.

Healthy families are the foundation of mission readiness. That's why IACH proudly hosts the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program – a Riley County resource that provides nutrition support, breastfeeding assistance, and health education to military families who need it most.

At Irwin Army Community Hospital, we are committed to providing safe and high-quality medical care to all our patients, including children. However, it is important for parents, guardians, and caregivers to understand the legal requirements regarding medical consent for minors.

Who Can Consent to a Minor’s Medical Care?
Under federal healthcare regulations, a minor (anyone under the age of 18) cannot receive medical treatment unless consent is given by:

• A biological parent
• A legal guardian (with court documentation)
• An individual holding a valid medical power of attorney (MPOA)
