The Department of Radiology offers a full spectrum of diagnostic imaging services to the Fort Riley beneficiary population with state of the art imaging equipment and diverse team of radiology technologists, radiologists, and support staff. We offer services in the following modalities:
- X-Ray
- Computerized Tomography (CT) Scan
- Ultrasound
- Mammography
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Referral Process
Patients should call the Radiology Department to schedule an appointment once a provider submits an order.
Mammograms, Extended Hours
Screening mammogram appointments are now available Tuesdays until 5:30 pm. Patients that are due for their annual mammogram after age 40 and have no symptoms can get their mammogram done at this later appointment time. Call Radiology/Mammography Desk at (785) 239-7911 to schedule an appointment.
The mammography unit at Irwin Army Community Hospital has met American College of Radiology Gold Seal of Accreditation. The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous practice improvement.
