Walk-In Contraceptive Services
Get all your contraceptive care in one place: Irwin Army Community Hospital's new Contraceptive Care Walk-in Clinic.
The clinic is open on Thursdays, 8 a.m. – noon & 1 - 4 p.m., except federal holidays or minimal manning days
Notice of Change Effective Jan. 2, 2024:
Effective Jan. 2, 2024, the Contraception Walk-in Clinic Day will transition from Thursdays to Tuesdays. This change aims to better align with the needs of our community and ensure enhanced access to essential services. The decision to shift the clinic day to Tuesdays is driven by our commitment to providing uninterrupted care. Often, holidays and training days coincide with Thursdays, causing the clinic to be unavailable. By moving the clinic day to Tuesdays, we aim to eliminate these barriers and maximize accessibility for all individuals seeking our services.
Services Offered
Services include the following:
- Contraceptive Counseling
- Birth Control Pills
- Patches
- Rings
- Implants & Intrauterine Devices

How it Works
No appointment necessary. All female beneficiaries will be walked-in for a 30-minute appointment and seen in the order of arrival. Patients may be asked to wait in the waiting room during their check-in period as availability may be sooner than anticipated. If a patient leaves before her turn, the next patient may be called in ahead of her. If more than 14 patients check in to be seen, the clinic may not be able to accept additional patients that day.
