Change of Command at Irwin Army Community Hospital

FORT RILEY, Kansas — Irwin Army Community Hospital held a change of command ceremony June 17, 2024, where Col. Anthony D. Gray relinquished command to Col. Laudino Castillo. Medical Readiness Command, West, Commanding General Brig. Gen. Yolonda “YR” Summons presided over the ceremony before an audience of Soldiers, family members, the Fort Riley community, and local healthcare partners.

The Irwin Army Community Hospital lab is now offering the convenience of online appointment scheduling. Appointments scheduled online will be prioritized over walk-in patients, ensuring you spend less time waiting. To start scheduling your lab appointment, visit the Digital Appointment Portal, select Kansas for the Geographic Location, and Fort Riley for the installation.

Online Lab Scheduling Now Available

FORT RILEY, Kansas — Irwin Army Community Hospital is pleased to announce the launch of its new online lab appointment scheduling system. As of Aug. 1, 2024, patients can conveniently book lab appointments through the Digital Appointment Portal. This pilot program aims to streamline the lab appointment process, reducing wait times for patients with scheduled appointments. While walk-in appointments will continue to be available, those with scheduled appointments will take priority.

The Optometry Clinic at Irwin Army Community Hospital is now accepting patients of all ages, including Active Duty, dependents, and retirees.
Our experienced optometrists offer a wide range of eye care services from routine eye exams to treatment for various eye conditions. Whether you need glasses or specialized care, we're here to help.
For Active Duty and retirees, TRICARE provides glasses at no cost. Dependents will receive a copy of their glasses prescription, which they can take to their preferred optical provider to purchase glasses at their own expense.
Schedule your appointment today by calling (785) 240-7335 or 240-7721 and experience the quality eye care you deserve. The Optometry Clinic is located on the second floor of the hospital. Business hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

IACH Optometry for All TRICARE Beneficiaries

The Optometry Clinic at Irwin Army Community Hospital is now accepting patients of all ages, including Active Duty, dependents, and retirees. Our experienced optometrists offer a wide range of eye care services from routine eye exams to treatment for various eye conditions. Whether you need glasses or specialized care, we're here to help.

Please be advised that the Irwin Army Community Hospital Contraceptive Care Walk-In Clinic will have minimal staffing on the last two Tuesdays of December 2024.

As a result, the clinic will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th. Additionally, the clinic scheduled for Tuesday, December 31st will be moved to Monday, December 30th. The clinic will resume its regular Tuesday schedule on January 7, 2025.

Contraceptive Care Holiday Schedule

FORT RILEY, Kansas — Please be advised that the Irwin Army Community Hospital Contraceptive Care Walk-In Clinic will have minimal staffing on the last two Tuesdays of December 2024. As a result, the clinic will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th. Additionally, the clinic scheduled for Tuesday, December 31st will be moved to Monday, December 30th.

Each morning at 7:30 a.m., IACH will post the number of same-day appointments available that day on the hospital’s Facebook page, giving patients an opportunity to secure last-minute openings for medical care without needing to go off-post.
