Change of Command at Irwin Army Community Hospital

FORT RILEY, Kansas — Irwin Army Community Hospital held a change of command ceremony June 17, 2024, where Col. Anthony D. Gray relinquished command to Col. Laudino Castillo. Medical Readiness Command, West, Commanding General Brig. Gen. Yolonda “YR” Summons presided over the ceremony before an audience of Soldiers, family members, the Fort Riley community, and local healthcare partners.

The Irwin Army Community Hospital lab is now offering the convenience of online appointment scheduling. Appointments scheduled online will be prioritized over walk-in patients, ensuring you spend less time waiting. To start scheduling your lab appointment, visit the Digital Appointment Portal, select Kansas for the Geographic Location, and Fort Riley for the installation.

Online Lab Scheduling Now Available

FORT RILEY, Kansas — Irwin Army Community Hospital is pleased to announce the launch of its new online lab appointment scheduling system. As of Aug. 1, 2024, patients can conveniently book lab appointments through the Digital Appointment Portal. This pilot program aims to streamline the lab appointment process, reducing wait times for patients with scheduled appointments. While walk-in appointments will continue to be available, those with scheduled appointments will take priority.

FORT RILEY, Kansas — Introducing Q-Anywhere, a virtual queuing system that lets you activate your prescription the moment you leave your healthcare provider's office at Irwin Army Community Hospital. How it works: 1. Scan or text: Simply scan the QR code or text "get in line" to (855) 797-3905. 2. Get in line: Your place in line is secured, so you can go about your day.

Please be advised that the Irwin Army Community Hospital Contraceptive Care Walk-In Clinic will have minimal staffing on the last two Tuesdays of December 2024. As a result, the clinic will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th. Additionally, the clinic scheduled for Tuesday, December 31st will be moved to Monday, December 30th. The clinic will resume its regular Tuesday schedule on January 7, 2025.

As a result, the clinic will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th. Additionally, the clinic scheduled for Tuesday, December 31st will be moved to Monday, December 30th.

FORT RILEY, Kansas -- Attention TRICARE beneficiaries: Open Season is a critical time to ensure your health coverage continues without interruption. To avoid a lapse in your TRICARE coverage, here are the key steps you need to take: 1. Make an Enrollment Payment or Set Up Automatic Payments If you’re enrolling or re-enrolling in TRICARE, it’s important to make establish your payment plan and/or set up automatic payments to stay current on your healthcare coverage. 2. Key Deadlines for Payment Management After DEC. 5, 2024, contact TriWest at 1-888-874-9378, Option#1, Option #1, be prepared to provide your DOD ID number (located on the back of your DOD ID card) and date of birth, ask for Enrollment Department. Confirm your beneficiaries with Enrollment then ask for Billing to establish payment. 3. Re-Establish Payment Methods If you currently pay via credit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT), you must re-establish your payment method with TriWest. Due to privacy laws, HealthNet Federal Services cannot transfer your confidential credit card or banking information to TriWest on Jan. 1, 2025. 4. Why This Matters If you do not confirm your payment method has been updated with TriWest, your TRICARE coverage could lapse. Without an active payment setup, you risk losing health coverage when you need it most. Act now to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted coverage for 2025.
