TOL to Close April 1 – What IACH Patients Need to Know

By Jorge Gomez

On April 1, the TRICARE Online (TOL) Patient Portal will be decommissioned and replaced entirely by the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal. If you need access to past health records from TOL, you must download them before this date.

What This Means for You

  • MHS GENESIS is now your patient portal. It provides 24/7 access to your electronic health record (EHR), appointment scheduling, prescription refills, test results, and secure messaging with your care team.
  • TOL health records will not transfer to MHS GENESIS. Any past records stored in TOL will no longer be accessible after April 1.
  • Your providers will still have access to your complete health record, but you will no longer be able to retrieve your past records through TOL.

What You Should Do Before April 1 – If you want to keep copies of your past health records, follow these steps:

  1. Go to www.TRICAREOnline.com and log in using your DS Logon, CAC, or DFAS myPay credentials.
  2. Click the blue "Health Record" button.
  3. Select "Download My Data" and choose your preferred record types, date range, and file format.
  4. Save or print your records for future use.

Parental Access to Children’s Records

  • You can view all available health data for children under 12.
  • For children aged 12-17, access is limited due to privacy laws. However, you can request printed records from your child’s provider.

Take Action Now

Don’t wait—download your records before April 1 to ensure you have access to your personal health history.

Don't forget to keep your family's information up-to-date in DEERS.
