FORT RILEY, Kansas –
Starting April 4, Irwin Army Community Hospital will transition its Central Appointment Line (239-DOCS) to a new call-handling platform. This upgrade is designed to enhance service efficiency, but patients should be aware of a few key changes during the transition.
What Stays the Same
- Same Phone Number: Patients will continue to dial 239-DOCS (239-3627) to schedule appointments.
- Familiar Menu Options: The menu structure will remain unchanged, ensuring a seamless navigation experience.
- Consistent Messages: While the system will feature a new voice, the content of the recordings will be the same.
What’s Changing
- New Callback System: The callback feature will still hold a patient’s place in line, but instead of entering a phone number via keypad, patients will now leave a voicemail.
- Potential for Longer Wait Times: As staff adjust to the new system, there may be temporary increases in wait times. We appreciate your patience during this transition.
IACH remains committed to providing quality care and efficient service to our patients. We encourage you to plan ahead and use the callback option to minimize hold times.
