Biography

CSM Meredith R. Greene

IACH Command Sergeant Major

Command Sergeant Major Greene was born in Staten Island, New York. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan, she enlisted in the United States Army in February 2004. CSM Greene attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC followed by Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Sam Houston, TX where she was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty of 68W, Combat Medic Specialist.

CSM Greene’s previous assignments include Senior Enlisted Advisor and Chief Medical NCO, USA MEDDAC, Fort Novosel, AL; Assistant Inspector General, Fort Detrick, MD; First Sergeant, 601st Medical Company (Area Support) (MCAS), Fort Liberty, NC; NCOIC, Medical Operations, 261st MMB, Fort Liberty, NC; NCOIC, Department of Primary Care, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, TX; Operations NCO, USA Defense Attaché Office, Ghana; Platoon Sergeant and Detachment Sergeant, 212th  Medical Detachment (COSC), Fort Campbell, KY; Healthcare NCO, 501st MCAS, Fort Campbell, KY; Occupational Therapy Sergeant, USA MEDDAC, Fort Jackson, SC; and Emergency Care Specialist; HSB 1st BN 78 FA, Fort Sill, OK.

CSM Greene’s military education includes the Sergeants Major Course Class 73, Inspector General Basic Course, Company Commander First Sergeant Pre-command Course, Practice Manager Course, Basic Healthcare Administration Course, Basic Healthcare Administration Assistant Instructor Course, Attaché Staff Operations Course, Combat and Operational Stress Control Course, Unit Prevention Leader Course, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Foundation Course, Modern Army Combatives Level 1 Course, and the Occupational Therapy Specialty Course. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development from the Command and General Staff College. She holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology: Biosecurity and Biodefense from the University of Maryland University College and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. CSM Greene was inducted into the SALUTE National Honor Society for Veterans.

CSM Greene’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (1 CS), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (5), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2), Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Superior Unit Award (2), and the Driver and Mechanic Badge (Wheeled). She is also the recipient of the Order of Military Medical Merit.
