COL Jason K. Marquart
IACH Commander
Colonel Jason Marquart hails from Wichita, Kansas and is a 2001 graduate of Kansas University where he was commissioned as second lieutenant in the Amy Nurse Corps. He also holds a Masters in Nursing from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Strategic Studies from the Army War College. He is board certified as a Emergency Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Trauma and Critical Care.
Colonel Marquart initially entered the service in July 1992 and served nine years as a Combat Medic and Licensed Practical Nurse before being selected to attend Nursing School on Active Duty at the University of Kansas. Since Commisioning he has served in numerous TDA, mTOE roles including key roles as : Commander 115th Field Hospital Ft Polk, LA, Capability Manager for Army Hospitilization, Army Futures Command, Ft Sam Houston TX, Chief Nurse 62D MED BDE JBLM, WA, Director En-Route Critical Care TF-MED AFG, Dep Commander of Nursing Munson AHC, Ft Leavenworth, KS. He served as the Chief Of Clinical Operations for the US Army Western Hemisphere Command and the additional role as the Consultant to the Surgeon General for Emergency / Trauma nursing.
In 2003, COL Marquart deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with 2D Forward Surgical Team in support of TF West. In 2012 he deployed to Afghanistan as the Director En-Route Critical Care TF-MED AFG. In 2020 as the Commander of the 115th FH he executed a rapid deployment with an 80 person package to Iraq in support of the COVID pandemic.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal 7th Award, the Army Commendation Medal 5th Award, and the Army Achievement Medal 6th Award, and the Parachutist Badge.
